Patricia Pradal will assume the role of President of Chevron South America for exploration and production projects – including Brazil, Suriname, Uruguay, and Peru – starting July 1st. She steps into the position after serving as Director of Business Development and Corporate Affairs. Patricia succeeds Evelyn Vilchez, who led the company in the region for the past two years and is now taking on a new role at Chevron’s headquarters in the United States.

With 25 years of experience in the industry, Patricia joined Chevron in 2005 and has since held various positions of increasing responsibility in business development, commercial strategy, strategic planning, and corporate relations. She is also involved in Chevron projects across other business areas, including new energies.

Patricia holds degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Universidade Candido Mendes and an MBA in Oil Business from MBP-COPPE/UFRJ, along with additional executive leadership and corporate finance training.

She is a member of the Oil and Gas Sector Committee at the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP/ABEP), where she was one of the founders of the institution’s Diversity Committee. Patricia currently serves on the board of the Brazil-U.S. Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), where she chairs the Energy Committee. She is also a board member of LIDE-Rio de Janeiro and the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce (BRATECC).

About Chevron
Chevron is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies. We believe that affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner energy is essential to advancing human progress. Chevron produces oil and natural gas; manufactures transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals, and additives; and develops technologies that enhance our operations and the broader industry. Our goal is to grow our position in oil and gas exploration and production, reduce the carbon intensity of our operations, and build new lower-carbon businesses in renewable fuels, carbon capture and offsets, hydrogen, and other emerging technologies.

In South America, Chevron has been present for over a century, with a regional business portfolio that includes upstream and downstream activities. Currently, the company holds 33 offshore exploration projects in deep and shallow waters across Brazil, Suriname, Uruguay, and Peru. In the downstream sector in Brazil, Chevron produces lubricant additives at its Oronite plant in Mauá, São Paulo; markets lubricants through its joint venture ICONIC Lubrificantes; and is active in the fuel market through the Texaco brand.
