Petrobras said it has surpassed the 100 million cubic meters per day (m³ per day) of natural gas delivered to the consumer market of the country. On Wednesday (26), the company released a total of 101.1 million cubic meters, a volume which surpassed the previous record of 97.7 million m³ processed on May 29, 2013.
The total volume delivered in the last 26 days, 45.1 million cubic meters were used for thermoelectric market and 42.5 million m³ not to thermoelectric market, which comprises industries, residences, transportation (vehicles), cogeneration and others. The rest - 13.5 million cubic meters - was delivered to Petrobras units.
The fact that it exceeded the unprecedented milestone of 100 million m³ per day of natural gas is mainly due to the strong increase in thermoelectric power generation, which caters to the order requested by the National System Operator (ONS).
