Petrobras was elected one of the winning companies in the 2020 Transparency Trophy, promoted by the National Association of Finance, Administration and Accounting Executives (Anefac), which assesses the quality and transparency of the financial statements of companies based in Brazil. Petrobras was among the top 10 in the category "Companies with net revenue above R$ 8 billion".

This is the fourth consecutive year in which the company is elected one of the winners of the award, which evaluates criteria such as quality of the information contained in the statements and explanatory notes of the company, transparency of the information provided, clarity of the management report and full adherence to accounting standards , among others, related to the financial statement for the year 2019. It also considers the disclosure of aspects relevant to the business, even if not legally required, such as Ebitda, added economic value, social and environmental balance, etc. The winners are considered after analyzing more than two thousand financial statements.

“The achievement of the Anefac Award - Transparency Trophy 2020 is a source of great pride for Petrobras, as it is a symbol of the relevance we give to transparency, as a fundamental value, and of the quality of our Financial Statements. We believe that transparency creates value, especially with regard to our financial information, improving our communication with our stakeholders and getting closer to our investors. Annually we seek to incorporate innovations and the best practices of the Brazilian and international market, not restricting ourselves only to normative obligations, but bringing qualitative and quantitative information that we understand as relevant to our investors, in a process of continuous improvement of quality and transparency ”, reinforces the executive manager of Accounting and Tax at Petrobras, Rodrigo Araújo.

Since 1997, the year the trophy was created, Petrobras has been awarded in 18 other editions. In 2019, it was considered outstanding in the category of publicly traded companies with revenues above R $ 5 billion. This year's featured company will be released in November.

The Transparency Trophy is carried out by Anefac, with technical analysis by the Institute for Accounting, Actuarial and Financial Research (Fipecafi) and sponsored by Serasa Experian.
