Petrobras’ CEO Magda Chambriard will be present at the opening session of the conference, the largest in the world oil and gas sector

Petrobras has confirmed its presence at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2025, which takes place between May 5 and 8, in Houston, in the United States. Recognized as the world's largest deepwater oil and gas industry conference, OTC annually brings together leaders, experts and companies to discuss the main innovations and challenges facing the offshore industry.
The program begins next Monday, May 5, with the presence of Petrobras' CEO, Magda Chambriard, at the OTC's opening session, at 9am (local time). The invitation to the CEO to take part in the opening ceremony reinforces the company's important role in the global energy scenario, especially at a time of profound transformations in the offshore industry.
On the same day, at 2pm, Magda will return to the program as keynote speaker on the panel “Setting the Scene in Brazil: An Anticipation of What Is Coming”. Soon afterwards, Petrobras' Executive Officer for Engineering, Technology and Innovation, Renata Baruzzi, will take part in a debate on the same theme, which will explore opportunities in the Brazilian offshore market, with emphasis on auctions for exploratory areas, platform decommissioning and emerging energy sources.
Also on Monday, the Executive Manager for Research & Development, Lilian Barreto, will take part in the “Innovative Strategies and Industry Perspectives: A Dialogue with Offshore Technology Leaders”, panel at 10:30 a.m., which brings together world leaders to discuss disruptive solutions for the industry based on research and development.
On Tuesday, May 6, the General Manager for Decommissioning Projects, Carlos Castilho, will give a talk entitled “Beyond the Horizon: Innovating Offshore Decommissioning for a Sustainable Future”, at 12:30 p.m., in which he will discuss the company's commitment to adopting innovative and sustainable solutions for decommissioning.
On the same day, Sylvia Anjos, Executive Officer for Exploration and Production, will be on the panel “Unlocking Frontier Areas for Energy Transition: Opportunities, Innovative Solutions, and Risk Mitigation”, at 2pm, debating topics such as risk mitigation, opening up new frontiers and technological solutions aimed at the energy transition.
Petrobras is one of the most visible companies at OTC, having been awarded several times for technological innovations implemented in offshore projects. The company has received the Distinguished Achievement Award for Companies five times, the highest technical award at OTC, and has twice been recognized with the main award at the Brazilian edition of the conference.
