The 2026 edition of ROG.e reaffirms the energy sector’s commitment to cultural development and equal opportunities. In addition to discussing technology, energy transition and investments, the world’s largest energy festival will feature a robust and structured program dedicated to the pillars of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I).
The highlight of the program at the Technical Congress will take place on Monday, September 21, at 4:20 p.m., under the ROG.e Dialogues program at Plenary B, with the session “DEI — Game-Changing Stories and Structural Changes Still Needed.” The panel will bring together executives such as Denise Santos from Shell, Thais Pessanha from Petrobras, Cristina Pinho from Instituto Luisa Pinho Sartori, Nelson Narciso Filho (pictured), Chair of the Organizing Committee, and inclusion and culture expert Nathalia Fernandes.
“Inclusion is no longer a peripheral issue; it has become a central asset for competitiveness, talent attraction and innovation in the energy sector. Bringing real stories of overcoming challenges to the main stage of the Congress and discussing structural barriers demonstrates the maturity of our industry,” emphasizes Nelson Narciso Filho, Chair of the ROG.e 2026 Organizing Committee.
The diversity agenda will also feature a moment to recognize companies that support the professional development of Black talent. Immediately following the Congress panel, IBP will honor the sponsors of the first edition of the ZIGA Development Program, an initiative focused on developing Black professionals in the energy industry. The ceremony will take place at Plenary B and will be open exceptionally to all ROG.e participants.
Launched as a milestone in the Institute’s efforts to promote diversity and racial inclusion, the program’s first edition was made possible through the support of TBG and TotalEnergies. Shell has recently joined the partnership, increasing the number of beneficiaries in the first class from 12 to 20 and strengthening the training and development initiatives planned for the project.
The diversity agenda will continue throughout the week with the DE&I Forum, a parallel event featuring 13 in-depth discussion panels on September 22 and 23, beginning at 10 a.m. There will be six sessions on Tuesday and seven on Wednesday, covering topics such as DE&I as a business strategy, neurodiversity, accessibility, artificial intelligence and algorithmic bias, literature and education, as well as the challenges and opportunities involved in building a more diverse and innovative energy sector.
