Natural gas sales reached a new record in monthly consumption volume. During the month of July, 70,423,897 m³ of the input were sold in the State. The daily average of sales was 2,271,739 m³ and the peak of sales of the distributor in Santa Catarina occurred on July 30, with 2,442,889 m³. Data are from SCGÁS' monthly sales report.
The 324 industries, which are responsible for around 80% of natural gas consumption in the State, consumed an average of 1.9 million m³/day in July. The result is 16% higher than that recorded in the same period in 2020 and 14% higher than in 2019, the year before the covid-19 pandemic.
The consumption of CNG (Natural Gas for Vehicles) also increased compared to the previous year. The fleet composed of about 112,000 drivers consumed an average of 324,325 m³/day of natural gas, an increase of 11.3% when compared to July 2020.
