SCGÁS launched (10/29) a new public call for the acquisition of additional volumes of natural gas. The restriction of Gasbol's transport capacity made it impossible to conclude a contract of over 2 million m³ / day of natural gas with Petrobras at the beginning of the year, but the volume currently distributed in Santa Catarina has exceeded the average of 2.1 million m³ / day. An internal working group was created by the company in order to find solutions in the short, medium and long term.

In addition, SCGÁS has maintained constant contacts with the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Petrobras and Transportadora Brasileira Gasoduto Bolivia-Brasil S / A (TBG) on this issue. Petrobras is managing to temporarily supply the excess volumes, as it has other transport contracts that have been showing excess capacity in the last few months, but these are not guaranteed by the supplier. TBG, on the other hand, signaled the possibility of investments to increase the capacity of Gasbol, but the projection is that these works will be completed only after 2024.

Given this scenario, it was necessary to launch a new public call to purchase additional volumes that meet demand in the short term. Proposals may provide for supply via Gasbol, with the injection of natural gas directly at SCGÁS delivery points, or even from LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) or GNC (Compressed Natural Gas) modes.

The initial amount estimated by SCGÁS is 150,000 m³ / day, with the possibility of expansion within the five-year contract term. The documents of the public flame are available at this link. Formalization of participation in this Public Call will take place by sending a PROPOSAL until 11/30/20 to the electronic address chamadapublicagn@scgas.com.br.
