Natural gas is a modern and versatile energy, used in industries, commerce, homes and vehicles. This modernity translates into comfort, economy, convenience and safety for its users, all with respect for the environment. In this sense, Sergas offers, through natural gas, an efficient and reliable energy solution, which can be used in the most diverse applications for the best business performance and being distributed in a continuously channeled way, that is, 24 hours a day. In Sergipe, its use has been growing year after year, due to the trust in the services, assistance and technology that Sergas offers to the market.

 

Piped natural gas is an energy matrix, which can serve both as a fuel and as an energy source, with competitive costs and less polluting potential. Gas is also a transition fuel, which has been occupying space in industrial hubs among the world's largest powers. In Sergipe, Sergas has been strengthening the segment, being one of the largest tax collectors for the state and serving large industries. Another differential of the company is the new concept of technology for the implantation of gas pipelines, through the directional hole system, without damaging the road pavement, since there is no opening of ditches, causing minimal inconvenience to passersby at the place of its application.

 

Sergas' CEO, Valmor Barbosa (photo), assesses that the future ahead for Sergipe for the sector is the best possible, since the state should change from being an importer to an exporter of gas. “There is an expectation that the Carmópolis oil complex will resume operations this year, and that the company that acquired the assets and will take over the exploration of these oil and gas reserves will start selling its production to Sergas, improving economic conditions. in the segment”, he recalls.

 

Economy compared to LPG 

The use of Natural Gas is 100%, with no residual losses. Its tariff provides savings, on average, of 20% in relation to cost, when compared to LPG. The tariff is regulated by the Public Services Regulatory Agency of Sergipe (AGRESE), and becomes decreasing in the industrial, commercial and cogeneration segments, that is, the greater the consumption, the lower the tariff. In addition, its consumption is unlimited and the amount used in the month is paid.

 

Safety and practicality 

Because it is channeled, Natural Gas reaches consumers and companies through modern and safe pipes, designed for continuous distribution. Thus, there is no longer the need to keep spaces occupied with gas plants, making better use of the areas, previously destined for cylinder reservoirs and cylinders with flammable product, which reduces the risk of accidents. It is also no longer necessary to have stock control, maneuver vehicles to deliver gas in front of the establishment and not even use hoses and cylinders for refueling.
