Gás Natural Açu (GNA), a subsidiary of Prumo Logística, concluded the contracting of the consortium Siemens and Andrade Gutierrez for the construction of the first thermoelectric plant in the Açu Port, UTE GNA I. The negotiations between the companies were concluded after the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) authorized the transfer of the UTE Novo Tempo thermoelectric plant to UTE GNA I, a company linked to GNA. The consortium will be responsible for engineering solutions, supplies and thermal construction, which will have installed capacity close to 1.3 GW.
The installation of the thermoelectric plant is part of Açu Gas Hub, a project under development in the Açu Port Complex, whose objective is to provide a logistics solution for receiving, processing, consuming and transporting natural gas produced in the Campos and Santos Basins, as well as importing and storage of imported LNG.
The construction of the first thermal in the Port of Açu is expected to begin in the first quarter of this year. The mobilization of the workers to provide service in the works of the thermoelectric will be carried out by the Network of Employability of the Porto do Açu, by the email curriculum.porto@gmail.com. The direct contracting of GNA is being disclosed in the portal vagas.com/prumologistica.
