Sulgás has extended the deadline for submitting proposals from suppliers interested in supplying biomethane, by means of Public Call notice nº 0001/20. The documentation should be sent until 11:59 pm on September 21 this year, to the email chamadapublicagn@sulgas.rs.gov.br.

The announcement, launched on August 14, 2020, aims to carry out a less complex and more agile contracting process, aiming to have biomethane as a supply option for the State, as of 2021/2022.

Projects with a minimum volume of 3 thousand cubic meters per day of biomethane will be accepted, without defining a maximum volume, for a 10-year contract period. The Company is committed to acquiring 80% of the estimated quantities.

One of the novelties of this simplified process is the reduction in delivery options. Bidders must submit proposals for two modalities: network injection and delivery of a withdrawn tablet. In the first case, the Company buys the injected biomethane in its channeled network and in the second, it buys and removes the biomethane through trucks that will transport the compressed gas to the customers. In both business models, the Company will carry out gas measurement and odors.

The announcement is available at this link.
