Swire Oilfield Services, world’s leading provider of DNV 2.7-1 cargo carrying units, was awarded in September 2015 with the certificate PROCEL Edifica on its operational base in Bellavista, opened in June this year.

The Brazilian National Energy Efficiency in Buildings Program promotes the rational use of energy in buildings since its founding, with the aim of encouraging conservation and efficient use of natural resources (water, electricity, airing etc.), reducing waste and impact on the environment.

To suit the program, Swire Oilfield Services has implemented a number of sustainable eco solutions during its design phases and construction of the base, including a warehouse waste water tank, 50m² of solar panels for water heating, treatment plant water, sewage treatment plant and parking for bicycles and electric vehicles.

The base had been developed following the sustainability policies of Swire Group since its beginning, minimizing the impacts of activities on the environment and providing a safer and healthier work environment for the team.

The building was concluded in 2015 after spending two years in construction, It has 60,000m² area, including an administrative hub, loading and unloading area, maintenance and repair CCUs (Cargo Carrying Units - Cargo Units) testing and inspection, and a washing area and also one slings plant (wire rope for lifting loads).

Swire still awaiting approval by LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. This certificate was created to help owners and building operators to be environmentally responsible and use resources more efficiently.

The company entered the Brazilian market in 2011 and has since grown as a market-leading provider of DNV 2.7-1 charging solutions for the offshore industry.
