Transpetro is negotiating a new agreement with the Pipeline Technology Center (CTDUT) to study new technologies for use in contingency situations, product displacement, and inertization of sections for pipeline repair execution. The information was provided by the company's president, Sérgio Bacci, during the CEO Talks of Rio Pipeline 2023 on Tuesday, August 8th, in Rio de Janeiro. The subsidiary is one of the founders of the organization, along with Petrobras and PUC-RJ, and maintains a Cooperation Agreement for testing the adoption of damage mitigation technologies, including the use of PIGs, resin-based repairs, and leak detection systems. The company plans to allocate approximately R$ 5 million to the partnership by next year.

"Safety always comes first. Maintaining pipeline integrity is our priority, and this work aligns with that vision. We have the same focus across all areas and activities of the company. Just as in the aviation industry, every potential failure is studied and analyzed exhaustively, so that we can create barriers and prevent them from recurring," emphasized Bacci.

Transpetro at Rio Pipeline

As a sponsor of Rio Pipeline 2023, the largest event in the pipeline sector in Latin America and one of the largest in the world, Transpetro made its presence felt at the gathering with participation in seven plenaries and representatives in over 30 technical presentations. "Our company is the largest oil, derivatives, and biofuels logistics company in Latin America, and participating in Rio Pipeline again is essential for us to showcase the scope of our business. Thanks to our operations, people travel on the roads of our country, receive packages daily, and travel by plane. The majority of the fuel used in these everyday activities relies on our pipeline network of approximately 8,500 kilometers, spanning all regions of Brazil," the company states.

In the #WeAreTranspetro space, a 122m² room located on the mezzanine, there was a studio where the "Papo de Dutos" podcast was produced, featuring participants from the event. The company also featured a photographic exhibition titled "Transpetro through Different Eyes." The objective was to highlight one of the company's key assets, as chosen by the new management: its people. Built upon the collaboration of the workforce, the exhibition celebrated the company's 25 years of history, offering a sensitive and humanized perspective through photographs on Transpetro's activities throughout Brazil.
