All stages of the royalty distribution process for February 2025 production—under concession and transfer of rights contracts—were completed today (April 28) by ANP.

A total of R$ 773,070,896.15 was transferred directly to states, while R$ 947,612,572.48 was allocated to municipalities. In terms of beneficiaries, the royalties were distributed to 777 municipalities and 11 states.

In addition to these federative entities, portions of the total amount calculated by the Agency were also allocated to the Federal Government and the Special Fund, in accordance with current legislation.

Detailed data on royalties per beneficiary, including historical records, are available on the ANP website:

Information for the current month is being consolidated and will be published soon.

Royalties from Production-Sharing Contracts

As for royalties under production-sharing contracts for February 2025, funds will be made available to beneficiaries as soon as all necessary operational steps are completed.

ANP’s Role in Royalty Distribution

The ANP is responsible for calculating, verifying, and distributing royalties to federal, state, and municipal entities. The distribution follows criteria established by:

  • Law No. 7,990/1989 and Decree No. 1/1991 (for the 5% royalty portion), and

  • Law No. 9,478/1997 and Decree No. 2,705/1998 (for the portion above 5%).

The Agency emphasizes transparency and rigorous execution in this complex national task.

Although the law does not set a specific payment date for royalty transfers, the ANP is committed to ensuring that these revenues reach beneficiaries as quickly as possible.

Beneficiaries can check deposit amounts on the Banco do Brasil website: https://demonstrativos.apps.bb.com.br/arrecadacao-federal, in the “Fundo” field, select “ANP – ROYALTIES DA ANP”.
