Vidya Technology, a Brazilian deeptech company, and an integrity management reference, presents the Digital Fabric Maintenance and Naval Digital Tracking solutions, software applications of the Vidya platform, at the 56th edition of the Offshore Technology Conference - OTC 2024, which takes place between May 6 and 9, at NGR Park, in Houston, Texas (USA).
The two applications are part of the Vidya Platform, which employs Artificial Intelligence, Spatial Computing, and software to transform data, reality capture, images, and documents into scalable tools for monitoring, inspection, integrity, and maintenance of oil and gas and energy plants.
The Digital Fabric Maintenance application autonomously identifies corrosion and other structural anomalies in assets. The technology integrates Artificial Intelligence, 3D environments, and Reality Capture to transform field images into structural integrity results, including a risk and prioritization matrix.
"The system also provides traceable, auditable, and contextualized integrity data in a 3D environment with heatmaps, analyzing, marking, and identifying corrosion and other anomalies, strictly following the company's inspection standards," points out Otávio Correa, Vidya Technology’s CEO.
This solution won an award at the Startup Village - Energy Startup Competition, an incentive program from SPE and the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, which supports the development of new companies and technologies and entrepreneurial education. The competition is part of the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE), of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) - one of the organizing entities of OTC.
The Naval Digital Tracking application visually contextualizes historical integrity data (such as thickness gaugings and anomalies) in a 3D environment. In this way, the solution enables the optimization and automation of integrity inspections and maintenance plans, supporting engineers in interacting with the unit's Classification Society.
"We were able to generate value from data that the customer already has in their engineering, IT, and OT, which are often difficult to access. With this data contextualization, we reduced almost 90% in the number of people on board required for maintenance activities in the case of Digital Fabric Maintenance. This significantly increased process safety in the projects," says Otavio Correa.
RECOGNIZED EXPERTISE
A Brazilian startup born in the incubator Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute of Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering (COPPE/UFRJ), Vidya Technology has already become a reference in asset integrity and performance management.
"By integrating insights and technical knowledge, Vidya's solutions provide a simplified and holistic perspective on asset integrity and performance for offshore operations," concludes the CEO of Vidya Technology.
PRESENTATIONS IN THE BRAZILIAN PAVILION
The company presented the two applications mentioned above, in the Brazilian Pavilion, booth 624, on the 7th and 8th.
The Offshore Technology Conference 2024 is the largest offshore technology event, bringing together leaders and experts from the global industry to discuss the challenges and market trends, as well as to see up close the innovative solutions developed with a focus on the sustainability of this sector, which has an important role in the energy transition.
