ABPIP participated in iBEM 2026, one of the main energy sector events in the country, held from March 23 to 25 in Salvador (BA). The association was represented by the Corporate Affairs analyst, Gabriela Bueloni, who contributed to technical discussions on sustainability and energy integration.
On March 24, Gabriela took part in the panel “ESG in energy generation”, where she presented initiatives developed by independent producers associated with ABPIP. Among the highlighted examples is the Produced Water Treatment Station (ETAP), coordinated by Mandacaru Energia, which showcases advancements in environmental management and efficient resource use in the sector.

On March 25, the representative participated in the panel “Future of integration between energies: challenges and synergies”, reinforcing the strategic role of independent producers in articulating different energy sources. For ABPIP, these actors have a unique capacity to transform resources into energy effectively available to the system, with projects already operating in states such as Alagoas, Bahia, Sergipe, and Amazonas. The initiatives include solutions such as flexible natural gas thermal plants, underground storage, and technological innovation, which help connect production, power generation, and regional development.
For ABPIP president Marcio Felix, participation in the event reinforces the leadership of independent producers in the evolution of the Brazilian energy sector. “iBEM is a strategic space to discuss the future of energy in Brazil. ABPIP’s presence in these debates reinforces the role of independent producers as integration agents, capable of connecting different sources and solutions efficiently, contributing to a more resilient, competitive system aligned with the best sustainability practices,” he states.
According to the Association, independent producers have been consolidating their role as a fundamental link between different energy chains, enhancing system efficiency and contributing to the country's energy security.
