The ANP published on Thursday (28/6) the pre-announcement and contract drafts of the 5th Round of Production Sharing, scheduled to take place on September 28. The documents will be in public consultation until 07/07/2018 and the public hearing will take place on 07/13/2018, at a time and place to be defined.

The purpose of the consultation and hearing is to obtain subsidies and information on the pre-announcement and draft contract, to provide economic agents and other interested parties with the opportunity to send comments and suggestions, as well as to publicize, translate and legitimize actions of the ANP.

The pre-edital brings the areas on offer (Saturno, Titã, Pau-Brazil and Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde), the rules and procedures for participation and the preliminary schedule of the round. Among the main improvements in relation to previous sharing rounds are the adequacy of the area of the Saturn block, the adequacy of the minimum shareholders' equity for financial qualification purposes and the values of the financial guarantees of the minimum exploratory program, aiming at the alignment with the recommendations contained in Judgment TCU No. 816/2018 of April 18, 2018.

The document also brings changes in relation to the previous notice to adapt it to the blocks to be tendered with their respective technical and economic parameters.

Considering the manifestation of Petrobras' interest in participating as an operator in the Southwest area of Tartaruga Verde, three draft production sharing agreements were drawn up: with mandatory operation of Petrobras - Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde; without mandatory operation of Petrobras - Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde; and without obligatory operation of Petrobras - Saturno, Titã and Pau-Brasil.
