The ANP held, on 10/25, Public Hearing No. 21/2022 on the update of the draft notice and contract models for the Permanent Offer under the Concession regime. The objective is to encourage the development of the sector, expanding the areas on offer and promoting regulatory simplification and access to information.

At the hearing, presentations were made on the environmental guidelines of the areas on offer, on the bidding documents and the concession contracts. The full recording of the hearing is available on the ANP YouTube channel.

In this new version of the public notice, a total of 1096 exploratory blocks are covered, with 59 blocks awarded in the 3rd Cycle of the Permanent Concession Offer being excluded and 87 remaining blocks from the 17th Bidding Round included. The 1096 blocks are located in 17 sedimentary basins, 471 onshore and 625 offshore.

In addition, the proposed new public notice introduces the concept of simplified qualification, extends the maximum period for carrying out a cycle from 90 to 120 days and opens the possibility of opening a new cycle right after the public session of an ongoing cycle is closed. , without having to wait for its approval.

During the Public Consultation period, which lasted 45 days and ended on 10/17, 199 comments and suggestions were received on the draft notice and on the models of concession contracts for the Permanent Offer.

The contributions received during the public hearing will be discussed by the technical area of ​​the Agency and the public notice will be submitted for approval by the Collegiate Board of the ANP before being published.
