The ANP held on Friday (5/7), in Rio de Janeiro, the public hearing on the Round of Bids on the Surplus of the Onerous Assignment. The tender is scheduled for November 6 and will offer the development areas of Atapu, Búzios, ltapu and Sepia, in the Santos Basin, under the production sharing regime.

At the opening of the event, the director of ANP Dirceu Amorelli highlighted the positive results of the rounds for the country. According to him, the oil and gas industry has the power to change the level not only the national industry as a whole, but the Brazilian economy.

"This round is yet another delivery within our commitment to the exploration and production segment and the development of the oil and natural gas industry in the country. It represents a great challenge for the ANP and for all those involved, given both the object to be different from that traditionally offered - are areas already in development - regarding the importance of this bidding for the country, "he said.

In the production sharing rounds, signature bonuses are fixed and the winning companies are the ones that offer the largest percentage of oil surplus to the Union, from the minimum defined in the public notice. In the case of the auction of the Onerous Assignment Surplus, signature bonuses vary between R$ 1,766,000,000.00 and R$ 68,194,000,000.00 and the minimum percentage of oil surplus between 19.82% and 27.65% .
