T&B Petroleum/Press Office ANP
The ANP Board of Directors approved today (05/13) the update of the Permanent Offer notice, with the inclusion of 377 exploratory blocks in the process. Blocks and areas purchased in the 2nd Cycle of the Permanent Offer will also be excluded from the public notice, as well as two areas with marginal accumulations (Rio Ibiribas and Miranga Leste) for decommissioning their facilities, in compliance with the terms and deadlines established in ANP Resolution No. 817 / 2020.
Of the 377 blocks, 367 were under study and, recently, obtained an opinion regarding the environmental feasibility. Another 10 re-entered the list of those who can offer, due to the elimination of judicial and technical restrictions that led to their withdrawal previously (POT-T-530, POT-T-574, POT-T-576, POT-T-620, POT-T-662, POT-T-663, REC-T-103, REC-T-83, REC-T-85, REC-T-95). With the update of the announcement, 1068 exploratory blocks will be available in the Permanent Offer.
The public hearing for the updated version of the Permanent Offer notice, which will be held by videoconference, is scheduled for 6/2/2021.
The Permanent Offer consists of the continuous offer of exploratory blocks and areas with marginal accumulations located in any land or sea basins. The exception is the blocks located in the Pre-salt Polygon, in the strategic areas or on the Continental Shelf in addition to the 200 nautical miles, as well as those authorized to compose the 17th and 18th Bidding Rounds. In this way, companies, especially those that do not yet operate in Brazil, have the opportunity to study these areas without the time limitation that traditional rounds provide.
