Average prices of hydrated ethanol rose in 15 states and in the Federal District in the week ended Saturday (31) compared to the previous period, according to a survey by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) compiled by AE-Rates. The price of biofuel fell in another 10 states and in Amapá there was no calculation.

At the stations surveyed by the ANP across the country, the average price of ethanol rose 2.058% in the week compared to the previous one, from R $ 2.976 to R $ 3.036 per liter.

In São Paulo, the main producer, consumer state and with the most stations evaluated, the average price of hydrated products was R $ 2.907, up 2.76% over the previous week (R $ 2.829). In Tocantins, biofuel registered the highest percentage increase in the week, from 8.54%, from R $ 3,349 to R $ 3,635). The biggest weekly drop, of 3.50%, was seen in Alagoas (from R $ 3.599 to R $ 3.473).

The minimum price recorded last week for ethanol at a gas station was R $ 2.599 per liter, in São Paulo, and the lowest state average price, R $ 2.907, was also registered in São Paulo. The maximum individual price, of R $ 4,299 per liter, was verified at a post in Santa Catarina. Rio Grande do Sul had the highest average price of R $ 3.991.

The ANP resumed the disclosure of the automotive fuel price survey on its website on October 23. Therefore, there is still not enough data for monthly comparison of hydrated ethanol prices at the stations surveyed in the country.
