The growth of the onshore market and the importance of independent oil and gas producers will take center stage at Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2024, an event that will bring together key players from the sector across the country from May 22 to 24 at the Salvador Convention Center.

The event is organized by Austral Energy Consulting with the strategic collaboration of the Instituto Politécnico da Bahia (IPB) and the Associação Brasileira dos Produtores Independentes de Petróleo e Gás (ABPIP) and will address opportunities in the areas of exploration and production, refining, petrochemicals, naval, and energy integration in the North/Northeast of Brazil. In this second edition, more than 10,000 visitors from at least 15 different countries are estimated to attend.

ABPIP and its associated companies will participate in the discussions throughout the event, and the association will have a booth in front of the Main Plenary (Booth No. 100, Wing A), which will serve as a meeting point between operators and suppliers. "The event showcases the strength of the oil and gas sector in Brazil, being one of the main ones in the Northeast and a national showcase for independents to showcase their achievements in business, technical, and socio-environmental aspects. ABPIP's presence reinforces the interaction of our members with stakeholders in states where we operate, such as Bahia, the birthplace of the Brazilian oil and gas industry," highlighted Marcio Felix, president of ABPIP.

Felix will be at the opening ceremony on May 22 at 1:00 PM. The executive will also be one of the speakers at the ESG Arena, also on May 22 at 6:00 PM, discussing "ANP's Permanent Offer." On May 23, ABPIP representative and member of the associated company Eneva, Regina França, will speak on "Infrastructure, market, and gas internalization in onshore" at the GasNor Conference at 2:00 PM. Also on Thursday, ABPIP's president will return as the moderator of the panel "The dynamism of the independent onshore market" at the PetroNor Conference at 4:00 PM. On May 24, João Vitor Moreira, ABPIP's vice president, will participate in the PetroNor Conference at 2:00 PM, discussing "Advanced recovery in N/NE fields." The participation of representatives from the Association will be concluded by the Executive Secretary, Anabal Santos Jr., at the ESG Arena on May 24 at 4:00 PM, in the panel "Due diligence, ESG, and small businesses in the oil and gas sector."

Supply Forum

During Bahia Oil & Gas Energy, ABPIP will promote, in partnership with the Sebrae Onshore Polo, the I Oil and Gas Supply Forum, which will take place on May 24 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the Congress Room, also at the Salvador Convention Center. Registration is free and can be done through the link: https://www.even3.com.br/i-forum-de-suprimentos-de-petroleo-e-gas-456329/ (subject to capacity).

The Forum, aimed at Supply Chain professionals from ABPIP members, will address the importance of intelligence in the supply area, as well as presenting successful cases from the oil and gas industry and strategies for purchasing critical categories.

ABPIP Day

With the presence of a large part of the associated companies at the event, the Association will also hold an exclusive meeting for this audience, the ABPIP Day, on May 23, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, in the Congress Room. This year's theme will be "The Challenges of Independent Oil and Gas Companies in Brazilian Energy Integration" and will feature the presence of the director of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP), Symone Araújo. According to ABPIP's president, Marcio Felix, the goal is to strengthen relationships and discuss the current state of the oil and gas sector in the country from the perspective of independent companies.
