Leaders from four countries met with President Jair Bolsonaro on Thursday morning to discuss possible partnerships and investments in Brazil. During the meetings, Bolsonaro discussed the main efforts by the federal government to make Brazil more attractive for entrepreneurs and balance the country's economy.

On the first meeting of the day, Bolsonaro spoke with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte. Rutee congratulated Bolsonaro for his victory in the election and said he shares Brazil's view of the importance of opening up the economy. The two leaders pledged to unite economic development with environmental preservation.

"People hope that we will take Brazil to the place of prominence it deserves, and this requires good international partnerships," said the president.

Czech Republic

During a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babis, Bolsonaro said the two countries have similar policies and that it is his goal to deepen friendship ties and consolidate trade between the two nations, in addition to developing cooperation efforts in technology and artificial intelligence.

Andrej Babis has shown interest in establishing dialog to increase investments on both sides. They agreed on having better control over immigration rules to respect each country’s peculiarities.

Poland and Ukraine

The president of Poland, Andrzej Duda, spoke of increasing trade flow with South America through Brazilian leadership in the region. Bolsonaro said he wants to facilitate partnerships by reducing barriers and recovering confidence in Brazil, creating a better business environment for investors.

The last meeting of the morning was with the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. After the meeting, Bolsonaro attended a working lunch on "The World in the Age of Globalization 4.0".
