However, the value of last year's exports was $2.68 billion FOB, up 17.5% from $2.28 million FOB in 2013, the ministry said.
The Netherlands was the primary destination for Brazil's ferroalloys in 2014, importing 53,580 mt, 22.3% below the 68,969 mt it imported in 2013.
The value of sales to the Netherlands in the full-year period reached $663.44 million FOB, up 16.73% from $586.31 million FOB in 2013.
China was the second-largest buyer of Brazilian ferroalloys in 2014, importing 42,042 mt, down 25.9% from 56,777 mt in 2013.
The value of sales to China totaled $500.70 million FOB, 0.8% above the 2013 value of $496.71 million FOB.
Ferrosilicon, ferronickel and ferroniobium accounted for 95.48% of Brazilian shipments and 99.05% of sales in 2014, the data showed.
Brazilian ferroalloy exports fell 25.3% in December to 26,913 mt from 36,030 mt exported in December 2013, the data showed.
The value of December exports was $202.98 million FOB, down 11.15% from $228.46 million FOB in the same month of last year, the ministry said.
