Camorim is writing another chapter in its history and increasing its participation in the national maritime support sector. Starting in July 2024, the contract with Petrobras, in partnership with GranEnergia, will involve the operation of the vessel Sayan Polaris.
The contract, worth approximately USD 60 million, will last for 2 years. During this period, the Sayan Polaris will serve as an accommodation and personnel transfer unit for Petrobras facilities covered under the contract. This operation, known as walk-to-work (W2W) by Petrobras, involves the vessel being equipped with a gangway fitted with an active heave compensation (AHC) system, capable of connecting to floating units under contractually established conditions. In the initial months of the contract, the W2W vessel will service the P-54 platform located in the Roncador field, in the Campos Basin.
The Sayan Polaris was built by Tersan Shipyard in Turkey and was delivered in 2018. With a VS 4530 design, the Multi Purpose Support Vessel (MPSV) has a dynamic positioning system DP-2, a total length of 89.10 meters, a beam of 22.0 meters, Wartsila engines, and the capacity to accommodate up to 100 people.
In addition to this contract, Camorim is in the process of mobilizing two more new contracts in 2024 with Petrobras, for large OSRV and PSV 4500 type vessels, reinforcing its position in the offshore market.
