He was a founding partner at G&G Energy Consultants and a partner at The Scotia Group. He was Managing Director of O&G M&A Americas for Harrison Lovegrove and continued in that role after its merger with Standard Chartered Bank. He later continued his career as Country Manager at Tecpetrol's subsidiary in the United States, as Managing Director of O&G M&A Americas at HSBC, Director of New Exploration Business and International E&P Productive Assets Acquisition at Ecopetrol, Director O&G Americas at Arthur D. Carlos Garibaldi holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa (Oklahoma), where he is a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Energy Economics, Policy and Commerce. He also holds an MBA from Rice University (Houston, Texas). Carlos is also co-founder, former president and a Board Member of IAPG-Houston.

To continue with ARPEL's mission and strategic lines in relation to the sustainable development of the sector in the Caribbean and Latin American region, Carlos will focus mainly on issues such as Energy Transition, the role of natural gas, digitalization, and its importance in improving management and operations, as well as attracting and retaining new talent and achieving gender equity in the industry. He will also prioritize the relationship with key stakeholders in the region, and will especially focus on the ARPEL 2022 Conference, which will take place during November 16th - 18th in Lima, Peru.
