Chevron, Shell, ONHYM gathering at the Morocco Oil & Gas 2014 Summit

Event will discuss the future of oil&gas country exploration.

Morocco is widely acknowledged as a leader in exploration activities in the African oil & gas sector with 2013 proving to be a year with remarkable entries to both onshore and offshore licenses. Over the past six months, Chevron, Kosmos, Cairn Energy and BP have announced new projects in the country, offering evidence of the significant hydrocarbon potential of the region. 
The Morocco Oil & Gas 2014 Summit, organised in collaboration with the ONHYM, will be a unique platform to discuss and evaluate the future of the country’s oil and gas industry with its key players worldwide. The Summit is sponsored by Chevron as the Platinum Sponsor, as well as Kosmos Energy, Gulfsands Petroleum, Genel Energy, Clifford Chance, Ernst & Young, Galp Energia, Dolphin Geophysical, GPS Intl, Repsol, PwC, Sotaserv, Lafarge, Sanad Assurance, Newpark, Jotun, Saham Assurance and Svenska.
The senior level faculty of speakers will include, amongst others, representatives from the IOCs currently working in the region, such as: Rick Eisenberg, Africa and Latin America Frontier Exploration and Appraisal Manager at Chevron; Ben Conley, Morocco’s Asset Manager at Cairn Energy; and Ragnar Fredsted, Morocco Vice President at Kosmos Energy. Mr Eisenberg will elaborate on the frontier exploration in the country, with an emphasis on people, technology and processes; Mr Conley will discuss Cairn Energy’s operations in Morocco; Mr Fredsted will also focus on the exploration trends in West Africa and Morocco in particular.
