The values of hydrated and anhydrous ethanol registered a further increase in the spot market in the state of São Paulo last week, according to data from Cepea. Between July 20 and 24, the CEPEA / ESALQ Indicator for hydrated fuel closed at R $ 1.6620 / liter (without ICMS and without PIS / Cofins), an increase of 2.55% in relation to the previous period. The anhydrous CEPEA / ESALQ indicator closed at R $ 1.8761 / liter (without PIS / Cofins), an increase of 1.4% in the same comparison.

 

According to researchers from Cepea, the support came from the heated demand, especially due to the return of buyers, some of large size, who were out of the market. The firm positioning of the seller also supported the values of biofuel. With a focus on sugar production at this time of the harvest, some mills have been participating more sporadically in the ethanol spot market.
