In view of the Coronavirus advance in the country, Enel Brasil, which operates in the energy distribution sector in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Ceará and Goiás, announces that it will immediately implement the extraordinary measures announced yesterday (24) by the National Agency of Electric Energy (Aneel). The company had been in constant conversation with representatives from Aneel and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), in order to build together measures that could be implemented for the benefit of society.
At this critical moment for the entire country, Enel Brasil has spared no effort to guarantee the quality of the energy supply that reaches its customers' homes. The company has acted responsibly with employees and partners, adopting additional hygiene care for workers in the field, the call center and control centers.
Among the measures announced yesterday by Aneel is the suspension of the cut in the supply of electricity to residential consumers (rural and urban) and essential services during the next 90 days. The decision does not include large customers, such as industries and businesses, and customers who cancel the method of payment by automatic debit account or other forms of electronic payment.
To reduce the circulation of people, Aneel also authorized the issuance of the energy bill based on the average consumption of the last 12 months. In cases where the procedure is adopted, the accounts' due dates will not be changed.
Enel Brasil reiterates the importance that consumers able to keep their accounts up to date continue to make the payment. Customers can access electronic means, such as automatic debit and internet banking. The company also reinforced its service in all its digital channels so that customers can contact their respective distributors.
The company's digital channels operate 24 hours a day. Customers can, free of charge, download the applications for Android and IOS of each company and have access to services, such as automatic debit account registration and invoice by email, in addition to requesting a duplicate of the account, consulting debits or reporting power outages.
In addition, customers can still contact the company through social networks - Facebook (facebook.com/enelclientesbr) and Twitter (@enelclientesbr) or by the Call Centers of each State: São Paulo (0800 72 72 120), Rio de Janeiro (0800 28 00 120), Ceará (0800 28 50 196) and Goiás (0800 62 01 96).
