Considering the opportunities created by the commitments made in the Paris Agreement and by the new regulation proposed by RenovaBio and their implications in the production of biofuels in Brazil, the Center for Energy Studies of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV Energia) launches, at 2:00 p.m. on the 15th of September, the Notebook of Biofuels. The publication analyzes the biofuels scenario in Brazil, as well as the main issues of the sector, in order to provide information to develop a clear vision, collaborating with the identification of actions that maximize the national potential.

The work was structured under the following blocks of analysis: the RenovaBio proposal; ethanol and biodiesel; new biofuels; the main obstacles and prospects for the resumption of investments. To this end, FGV Energia has talked with more than 50 industry players (government representatives, business associations, companies, consultancies, academia and others), of which the majority consider that the targets are feasible and that the RenovaBio program will contribute to the resumption of investments.
