FGV will organize, on December 3, the seminar "Energy in Transition - Infrastructure and Distribution of Maritime Fuels in Brazil in accordance with IMO 2020".

The need to renew the Brazilian maritime fuel infrastructure and increase the competitiveness of national ports gains another dimension compared to International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations, which will limit to 0.5% the percentage of sulfur in fuels from day 1, January 2020.

IMO regulations will impact greenhouse gas emissions and nitrogen oxide content and should lead to significant market transformations.

The seminar aims to discuss this process and its implementation, addressing the following points: refining and distribution of marine fuels; legal and P&I considerations; market and prices; compliance in Brazilian ports.
