Luiz Césio Caetano, president of the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), attended the opening ceremony of ROG.e 2026 on Monday, September 21. The country’s leading energy trade fair brings together more than 400 exhibiting companies.

Firjan SENAI SESI is participating in the event with a booth showcasing its innovation, education, occupational health, and workplace safety services and projects for the oil and gas market. Firjan SENAI, in partnership with Sebrae Rio, is also promoting the Supplier Opportunities Network, which features nine anchor companies with procurement needs: Petrobras, Transpetro, PRIO, Braskem, Equinor, MODEC, Seatrium, TBG, and Ocyan.

The ROG.e opening ceremony was led by IBP President Roberto Ardenghy and attended by Petrobras President Magda Chambriard and Mozambique’s President Daniel Chapo, who delivered the event’s morning keynote address. According to Caetano, participating in ROG.e represents an opportunity to bring Firjan SENAI SESI’s full range of expertise to Brazil’s and the global energy industry.

“We are here at the trade fair with our Firjan SENAI SESI booth, presenting several of our services and projects for the oil and gas market. ROG.e is one of the world’s largest energy trade fairs, confirming the strength of Rio de Janeiro’s and Brazil’s industrial sectors,” Caetano said.

Suppliers for the Equatorial Margin

Also on Monday morning, the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro and the Federation of Industries of the State of Pará (Fiepa) signed a partnership to develop the Supplier Mapping and Activation Project for Pará’s oil, gas, energy, and maritime markets.

The partnership includes the development of suppliers in the Equatorial Margin region through the application of proprietary methodologies developed by Firjan’s General Management of Oil, Gas, Energy, and Maritime Industries. Over a 12-month period, the project will include the mapping, training, and activation of service providers.

“This is an extremely important moment for both states and both federations. Sharing the work carried out by SESI and SENAI, as well as bringing Firjan’s expertise to other states across the country, is an inspiration for the development of our industry—especially now, with the emergence of this new oil frontier, the Equatorial Margin,” Caetano said.

Fiepa President Alex Carvalho emphasized that Pará is prepared for the development of the Equatorial Margin. “Brazil is a major power in oil production and in the adoption of good environmental protection practices. This partnership with Firjan, with all the experience it brings, will be essential to building the supplier chain and will represent another link in the sustainable development of Pará and the Equatorial Margin,” he said.
