Spanish company Gamesa will supply 298MW of its turbines to the El Cabo wind power complex in New Mexico, US.

The contract was awarded by utility Avangrid Renewables, and is one of the largest orders ever received by the Spanish wind turbine manufacturer.

Gamesa will deliver 142 units of its G114-2.1MW turbines to the project site in March 2017. Commissioning of the wind complex is scheduled to start in June 2017.
