After 17 straight weeks of decline, gasoline prices have risen again for the final consumer.

According to a survey by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), fuel was 0.8% more expensive in the period between 24 and 30 May, compared to the previous week. Diesel S10 maintained the downward trend (-0.2%).

The increase in the price of gasoline comes amid a recovery in the price of oil in the international market, which went from the level of US $ 25 a barrel in late April to around US $ 38.

This more recent appreciation has led Petrobras to readjust its prices at refineries in recent weeks.

After the sharp drop in recent months, the price of gasoline has already accumulated a 44.9% increase in the month, at refineries, while diesel has already risen 15.5%. Even with the high in May, the price of gasoline accumulates, in 2020, a low of 30.8%. In the case of diesel, the reduction is 35.5% in the year.
