GranEnergia
The GranEnergia, holding logistics and oil and gas group Gran Invest, received the compact semisubmersible (Compact Semi-Submersible) CSS Olympia, Offshore MAC (Marine Assets Corporation). The vessel, considered innovative, acts as staff accommodation, and will be connected to a production platform offshore oil via walkway.
The CSS Olympia was built at Fujian Mawei Shipyard, China. The semisubmersible has 84.25 meters in length and up to 500 people, and is equipped with dynamic positioning level 3 (SD 3) and helideck for helicopters up to 12.8 tonnes system.
Another six platforms of the same type are under construction with delivery forecasts for the next two years. The Marine Assets Corporation (Offshore MAC) considers compact platform a breakthrough in design engineering for the function of accommodating person.
