The event starts today (April 30) and for the eighth consecutive time, the Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro participates in the main offshore technology tradeshow - OTC 2018. As an official curator of the Brazil Pavilion and in support of APEX-Brazil, FIRJAN organized a series of talks with the participation of operators and entities that work in the country on business opportunities in the oil and gas market in Brazil.
The National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP), Apex-Brasil, Petrobras, and, in addition to the Federation of Industries, the ONIP, IBP and SEBRAE entities are in the Brazil Pavilion, the Ministry of Mines and Energy. Manager of Oil and Gas at FIRJAN, Karine Fragoso points out that, since 2011, the Federation has been in the OTC as an exhibitor or participant in an institutional mission to defend the Rio de Janeiro and national industry with the regulatory agencies and to expand relationships with development agencies and companies.
"Participating in the OTC is very important for the Brazilian oil and gas defense entities. We strengthen our relationship with the offshore market, as our technical team absorbs technical knowledge, identifies trends and good practices in the market, and prospects for commercial and technological partnerships, in the sense of inserting our industries in the world oil market, " exemplifies Karine.
President of the FIRJAN System and Chairman of the ONIP (National Organization of the Oil Industry) Deliberative Council, Eduardo Eugenio Gouvêa Vieira will highlight the entity's new way of acting, with integrating committees to deal with competitiveness and productivity issues, regulatory environment and access to market. The Organization's commitment is to promote interaction between institutions and governments in order to ensure effectiveness in the implementation of an industrial policy focused on the development of the oil market.
The Brazil Pavilion is located at NRG Park, which hosts the OTC 2018 from April 30 to May 3 in Houston, Texas, United States.
