Hydrated ethanol, used in flex-fuel cars or originally ethanol-powered cars, rose again after two weeks of decline according to the Cepea/Esalq Indicator from USP. In the week of May 27 to 31, the biofuel was sold by mills at R$ 2.3076 per liter compared to R$ 2.2534 the previous week, an increase of 2.41% compared to the two periods.

On the other hand, anhydrous ethanol, used in gasoline blends, closed the week practically stable with a slight decrease of 4 centavos of real, or 0.02%, compared to the week of May 20 to 24. Last week, anhydrous ethanol was sold by mills at R$ 2.6227 per liter, compared to R$ 2.6231 per liter the previous week.

Paulínia Daily Indicator The Paulínia Daily Indicator for hydrated ethanol ended the last business day of May down by 1.08% compared to the previous day. The biofuel was traded by mills on Friday (31) at R$ 2,424.50 per m³, compared to R$ 2,451.00 per m³ on Wednesday. In May, the indicator accumulated a decrease of 1.10%.
