The country's entry into the organization will attract more investment in strategic areas and expand the integration of the Brazilian economy.

“This is an extremely important step for the Brazilian productive sector. I am sure that the negotiation process will bring many benefits to Brazil and will serve as an impetus for us to leverage important reforms, which will increase the competitiveness of the industry and promote more sustainable growth in the country”, says the president of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI). ), Robson Braga de Andrade.

Brazil is also the country most engaged with the organization's Committees and working groups, integrating discussions in more than 30 instances.

To continue the accession process, the OECD will present an assessment roadmap for aligning Brazilian policies and legislation with the organization's standards.

The president of the CNI reinforced the willingness of the Brazilian industry to promote this agenda.

“We are interested in contributing.

We have been actively working on the OECD agenda since 2018 and Brazilian entrepreneurs have already understood the relevance of participating in the discussions.”
