From March 17 to 19, Macaé will host the largest energy-focused event in the region. Organized by Firjan, produced by Open Brasil, and with strategic partnerships from the City of Macaé and RedePetro-BC, the event is centered on business generation.

The event will take place at the Jornalista Roberto Marinho Convention Center and aims to connect companies, executives, and suppliers from the oil, gas, and energy sectors in a strategic environment focused on networking, opportunity generation, and the dissemination of high-quality technical content.

The program is structured around three thematic days, aligned with the main pillars of the energy industry:

  • The first day focuses on the oil sector,
  • The second day is dedicated to energy integration, with an emphasis on the natural gas market,
  • The third day highlights employability.

In total, the event will feature 30 hours of technical content, distributed across seven thematic panels and five keynote speeches, alongside a business fair with approximately 50 exhibitors. The expectation is to attract over 10,000 participants across the three days, including conference attendees, exhibitors, entrepreneurs, professionals, and interested visitors.

The event is already supported by Platinum sponsor Equinor and Silver sponsor PRIO, as well as institutional backing from Abemi, Abimaq, Abeam, Abitam, ABPIP, ATGas, EPE, IADC Brazil, IBP, Instituto Macro, ONIP, and Syndarma.

One of the main highlights of Macaé Energy 2026 is the "Opportunity Network", a Firjan initiative designed to connect major industry players with suppliers. In 2025, the program facilitated over 300 business meetings. For 2026, confirmed participants include TBG, Petrobras, Baker Hughes, and Transpetro.

The event's growth is also reflected in its technical conference. After attracting around 2,000 participants in 2025, the goal for this edition is 4,000 attendees, reinforcing Macaé as a strategic hub for discussions on energy, oil, and gas in the state of Rio de Janeiro, with a direct impact on the business environment and competitiveness.

The program will also feature executives and authorities from the industry, including:

  • Sylvia Anjos, Executive Director of Exploration and Production at Petrobras;
  • Paulo Van Der Ven, Director of Shared Operations at Equinor;
  • Symone Araújo, Director at ANP;
  • Heloísa Borges, Director of Petroleum, Gas, and Biofuels Studies at EPE;
  • Márcio Félix, President of ABPIP;
  • Sérgio Coelho, Deputy Undersecretary of Energy at the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Energy and Maritime Economy;
  • Vinícius Patel, Director of Port Administration at Porto do Açu;
  • Antônio Batista, Investment Director at the Amapá Economic Development Agency.

These guests will participate in panels and debates on strategic topics such as the gas market, mature fields, energy integration, and the equatorial margin.
