Minister Bento Albuquerque held a very constructive conference call yesterday with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud. On that occasion, they exchanged views on the current crisis arising from Covid-19 and, in particular, the reflection of this pandemic on the global oil market.

Saud asked whether Brazil would be inclined to integrate the international coordination effort in the search for mechanisms that contribute to the stabilization of the international oil market. He presented the proposal for the country to participate in a meeting of energy ministers, within the scope of the G-20.

Minister Bento Albuquerque thanked Prince Abdulaziz for his efforts to promote a coalition to discuss a topic so significant for everyone, especially at this moment that imposes great challenges, noting that Brazil will be ready to participate in a meeting within the scope of the G-20, a forum where both countries have a seat.
