The world’s leading offshore oil and gas event, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), will recognize the excellence and commitment of two MODEC professionals. Arun Duggal, President & CEO of SOFEC, and Gabriel Correa, Project Manager at MODEC Brazil, will be honored during the OTC Opening Ceremony on May 5 and the Awards Ceremony & Reception on May 6, respectively. Both ceremonies will be held at the NRG Center in Houston, Texas, USA.

Arun Duggal, President & CEO of SOFEC, has been awarded the OTC 2025 Heritage Award, which celebrates outstanding achievements. This award is one of the most prestigious honors in the offshore energy sector and this year highlights Duggal’s dedication, commitment, and excellence over his 30-year career in the industry.

Gabriel Correa, Personnel Logistics Manager at MODEC in Brazil, has been selected for the OTC Emerging Leaders Program. This program honors young professionals with less than 10 years of experience in the offshore energy industry who are making significant contributions in their field, industry service, innovation, and safety.

Gabriel joined the company in 2019 through the Toward Excellence – Building a Leadership Team program, starting as an Operational Development Engineer and focal point for the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29. With experience in FPSO operations and maintenance—from EPCI to decommissioning—he has held several roles at MODEC, including leadership of the Target 2026 Project, before being recently promoted to his current position.
