The Brazilian Institute of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (IBP) elected last Friday, 11/29, during the 18th Extraordinary General Meeting, the new members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board.

At the opening of the Assembly, the new IBP secretary general, Cristina Pinho (photo), said she is happy to be part of the Institute's team and to be able to contribute with her experience in exploration and production. "I want to contribute with my experience, and with this work with Clarissa in this new strategy, in a new IBP that is already improving its indicators. From now on, we want to give a more current and modern vision for the institution," he said. .

With the departure of José Firmo, former president of IBP, of the Executive Board, Wong Loon, president of New Southeast Carrier (NTS), occupies the open position. Maurício Bähr, President of the ENGIE Group in Brazil, was elected to the Institute's board of directors, replacing Carlos Tadeu Fraga, CEO of Prumo Logística.

In addition to the new composition, 50 amendments to the bylaws were presented at the Meeting. The purpose of the modifications is to meet the professionalization process of the IBP and give freedom to the Board of Directors, making the Executive Board a non-statutory body and delegating its duties to the Chairman of the Board.
