Gasmig will present next Thursday (30th), at 10:00 am, the details of the public notice for contracting works on the Trunk Line of the Centro-Oeste Project, which provides for the expansion of the Natural Gas Distribution System (SDGN). Gasmig's Technical Board will present the project and explain how the service contracting process will be for each phase of the work.

The launch of the notice is public, intended for all those interested in participating in the bidding process. However, to have free access to the launch site, it is necessary to send an email to Projetocentrooeste@gasmig.com.br, informing the full name and identity number.

In all, in the Centro-Oeste Project, around 300 km of gas pipelines will be implemented to meet the demand for natural gas in the municipalities of Betim, Sarzedo, São Joaquim de Bicas, Igarapé, Juatuba, Mateus Leme, Itaúna and Divinópolis. The total investment will be R$ 780 million. The implementation of the Project will take place in stages, starting in the second half of the year. Only the eight cities that will be impacted by the Centro-Oeste Project add up to around 1 million inhabitants and represent 10% of the State's Industrial GDP”, he highlights.

The gas pipelines serve approximately 83,000 customers in 43 municipalities in the Metropolitan Region of BH, Sul de Minas, Zona da Mata, Vale do Rio Doce and Campos das Vertentes, which correspond to the main industrial centers and concentrate more than 50% of the industrial production in the country.
