The ANP board approved on Wednesday (04/11) the inclusion, in the First Cycle of the Permanent Offer of Areas, of the 46 blocks not sold at the 15th Round of Bids, held on March 29. The First Cycle, which predicted 838 areas in 12 basins, will count on 884, in 15 sedimentary basins, totaling 345,882.88 Km2.

 

The 46 blocks are located in the new basins of Parnaíba (8) and Paraná (13) and in the sea basins of Ceará (11), Potiguar (6), Sergipe-Alagoas (5) and Santos (3). Of these basins, only Ceará and the maritime portion of the Potiguar Basin were not included in the initial proposal for the First Cycle of the Permanent Offer of Areas. 

The Permanent Offer of Areas is provided for in Article 4 of CNPE Resolution 17/2017 and consists of the continuous supply of fields returned (or in the process of being returned), of exploratory blocks offered in previous and uncollected and also of the blocks returned to the Agency . So far, the ANP board has approved two cycles.

 

Next stages of the First Cycle of the Permanent Offer of Areas 

- Disclosure of the rules for realization and participation - until 04/30/2018 

- Disclosure of the technical and economic parameters of the areas and blocks - as of 04/30/2018 

- Beginning of inscriptions and binding expression of interest - as of 05/02/2018 

- Submission of offers - from 11/01/2018

 

Second Cycle of the Permanent Offer 

The Board of ANP approved on 04/04 the Second Cycle of the Permanent Offer of Areas for exploration and production of oil and natural gas. 

A total of 1054 blocks were selected from 20 sedimentary basins on land and sea, new and mature, totaling 441,478,014 km²: 85 blocks in seven basins and 969 in 13 sea basins. 

The blocks selected for the Second Cycle of the Permanent Offer will be disclosed on the website of the bidding rounds until April 30, 2018, when the economic agents can obtain more detailed information. By the end of December 2018, the ANP will disclose the rules for participation and the technical and economic parameters of the second round of the permanent offer.
