"PJ Valves, British company and member of Energy Industries Council (THE EIC), has secured a multi-million dollar contract to manufacture the valves for the turret of the Petrobras Libra EWT FPSO, in the Santos Basin . Delivery of the equipment reached its final stages and is in line with the deadline specified in 22-32 weeks.

The location of the FPSO brought challenging engineering requirements. The PJ Valves is providing 16” full modular DBB valves up to pressure rating API 10k PSI in full Duplex material. Large actuators were required to fit 10-inch and 2500 pounds ball valves. The consortium between Odebrecht Oil & Gas and Teekay, responsible for the construction and charter of the FPSO, approved the valves PJ Valves for the project.

Hugh Bisset, Director of the Americas, explained that "We have successfully developed our international markets over the past few years to have experience of leadership in each of the world's centers such as London, Singapore and Houston. The contract for the FPSO Libra is an example that these offices work seamlessly together with our manufacturing teams. Our next goal is to develop our direct presence in Brazil - the world's leaders in FPSO technology. We are starting by attending Rio De Janeiro’s OTC Brazil exhibition in October."
