Rio Oil & Gas officially starts this Monday, November 30th. As of this edition, the largest oil and gas event in Latin America is no longer biannual to become an innovation platform and, until December 3, it will be held in 100% digital format, with news on the schedule. Starting Up
The schedule officially begins on Monday, with an afternoon of discussions dedicated to the universe of startups. The agenda includes panels that will discuss opportunities to undertake in the O&G industry and how the sector is articulating to pave the way for the future, in addition to a chat with startups that are already successful in the area and a round of pitches, with a jury of notables from the O&G and venture capital segments.
Names such as Robert Nunes, General Manager of Digital Transformation at Petrobras are confirmed; Patrícia Grabowsky, Head of Innovation at Subsea 7; Eduardo Costa, CEO of Ouro Negro; Lelio Souza, CEO of Intelie; and Christian Schöck, Director of O&G at Siemens Energy.
Opening session
At 7 pm, the opening ceremony of the congress begins - closed to congressmen -, which will be attended by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque; the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Rodrigo Maia; the Interim Director General of the ANP, Raphael Moura; the event's Chair and IBP's Corporate Executive Director, Cristina Pinho; and the President of IBP, Clarissa Lins.
Free access
By registering for free, the visitor will have access to some of the news of the edition. One of them is the Rio Oil & Gas Dialogue Sessions, which are the result of an unprecedented content partnership with reference institutions in their areas of expertise. The panels will have the collaboration of LHH, IHS Markit, McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company and BCG in the mediation and development of the sessions, ranging from energy geopolitics, opening up of the natural gas sector, upstream competitiveness and the new dowstream market , climate change to diversity and female leadership, among others.
Participants will also be able to see the presentations of selected technical works, as well as freely access the virtual windows of the exhibitors, which will bring information about the main O&G companies operating in Brazil, and the immersive rooms of the sponsors and the IBP, which will have interactions in virtual reality.
Cultural program
Visitors will be able to follow the conference's cultural program for free. Sponsored by Repsol Sinopec Brasil and with the support of Dell'arte productions, the Happy Hour of December 1st will receive the show “My Dream”, performed by a Chinese ballet company formed by deaf dancers. On the following day, Shell will bring “They sing Rio”, with a live show with Fernanda Abreu, Mart’nália and Sandra de Sá. On the last day, in honor of the International Day of People with Disabilities, the operator brings a live stand-up at Happy Lunch, with performances by Geraldo Magela and Jefferson Farias, the “blind people from Praça é Nossa”.
Exclusive programming
The paid subscription gives access not only to that part of the schedule, but also to other exclusive features. The congressmen will be able to have their own profile, set up their personalized agenda for the event, network with other participants by match of interests, chat via chat with platform users and schedule meetings with representatives of the exhibiting and sponsoring companies.

On Demand
Another novelty of the edition is the On Demand channel, where all the congress content will be available. Congressmen will have unlimited access to the functionality until August 2021, while visitors will be able to take advantage of the configuration to check technical works, until the end of the event.
