The accumulated production since the beginning of the historical series, in 2017, in the three contracts under a sharing regime, reached 50.4 million barrels of oil in February. The Mero Development Area was responsible for 68% of the production in the period. The total accumulated share of the Union's oil surplus has stood at 8.3 million barrels of oil since 2017.

In February 2021, the average daily total production in the three contracts was 51,000 barrels per day (bpd), of which 36,000 bpd in the Mero Development Area, now operating with two 6-inch lines, 9,000 bpd in the Surroundings of Sapinhoá and 6,000 bpd in Tartaruga Verde Sudoeste. The result was 11% higher than in January.

The Union's oil surplus registered a total daily average of 11,500 bpd, of which 5,300 bpd in the Mero Development Area and 6,200 bpd in Entorno de Sapinhoá. The information is contained in the Monthly Bulletin of Production Sharing Contracts, prepared by Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA), manager of the contracts on behalf of the Union.

Natural gas

The total average daily production of natural gas available from the two contracts with commercial use was 275 thousand m³ / d, with 231 thousand m³ / d in the Surroundings of Sapinhoá and 44 thousand m³ / day in Tartaruga Verde Sudoeste. Compared to the previous month, the volume of available gas increased by 0.42%.

The total daily average of the Union's gas surplus was limited to the surplus coming from the Surroundings of Sapinhoá, which was 150 thousand m³ / d. The result reflects an increase of 26% in relation to the previous month. The natural gas produced in Mero, with a high CO2 content, is being injected into the reservoir to increase oil production, with no forecast of commercialization.

Since 2018, accumulated production totals 217 million m³ of available natural gas with commercial use. The surplus in natural gas since 2017 is 60.3 million m³.

Of the 17 contracts under the production sharing regime, three are currently in production: Libra (Mero Development Area), Surroundings of Sapinhoá and Tartaruga Verde Sudoeste, operating 04 FPSOs and 18 wells.
