​Swire Oilfield Services moves into Guyana market

Swire Oilfield Services, a leading global provider of offshore containers and oilfield services, announced a strategic partnership agreement today with Global Oilfield Services Inc, for the supply of offshore containers and equipment to support the growing energy market in Guyana.


Global Oilfield Services will offer a full range of Swire Oilfield Services DNV 2.7-1 certified units, including Offshore containers, Baskets, Waste skips and Tanks to support the increased International Operator’s Drilling Campaigns across Guyana.


Global Oilfield Services Inc., is a company registered in the Co-Operative Republic of Guyana, and is wholly owned by Guyanese shareholders. Global Oilfield's majority shareholder, Guyana Logistics and Support Services Inc. ("GLASS") has been operating within the Guyanese Oil and Gas industry since 2011, and has witnessed the development of the industry from its infancy.


Global Oilfield and its affiliate company GLASS have a strong reputation in Guyana for supporting their customers and offering a high level of customer service in solving their problems.

Established in 1979, Swire Oilfield Services celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2019, and is part of one of the largest privately owned UK companies John Swire & Sons who are now in their 203rd year of operating. SOS is the world's largest supplier of specialised offshore containers and supporting services to the global energy industry.


Operating from 58 bases, across 29 countries, Swire Oilfield Services employs over 500 personnel in all the major oil and gas regions in Europe, Africa, Middle East, North & South America and Asia-Pacific.
