Symone Christine de Santana Araújo (photo) took over yesterday (10/11), as director of the ANP.
Symone Araújo's appointment to the position was approved on 10/19 by the Infrastructure Services Commission of the Federal Senate and, on the Chamber, on 20/10.
On this date, the appointment decree to exercise the position of Director at the ANP was published, with a mandate until March 27, 2022, in the vacancy opened with the end of Aurélio Amaral's mandate, which ended on March 28.
The new director will be responsible for the Development and Production Superintendence (SDP), the Nucleus for the Measurement of Oil and Natural Gas Production (NFP), the Superintendency for Biofuels and Product Quality (SBQ), having linked the Research and Development Center. Technological Analysis (CPT), and Supply Inspection Superintendence (SFI), as well as the Regional Supply Inspection Centers.
Symone Araújo is a public servant, graduated in Chemical Engineering from Fundação Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), master in Development and Environment from the same institution, PhD in Natural Resource Management from University of Brasília (UnB) and specialist in Public Policies and Management Government by the National School of Public Administration (Enap). Since 2004, he has been a member of the career of Specialist in Public Policy and Government Management at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, where, in 2009, he took over as director of the Natural Gas Department. Throughout her career, she also served on the Fiscal Councils of Petrobras, PPSA and EPE and was a professor in undergraduate and graduate courses.
