The global energy landscape is constantly evolving, driven by the search for sustainable solutions and the diversification of energy sources. With this context in mind, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is organizing the Energy Summit, scheduled for June 17th, 18th, and 19th at the City of Arts in Rio de Janeiro. This gathering brings together experts, government leaders, and industry representatives to discuss the next steps in energy transition and the pursuit of global sustainability.

A pivotal point of this event is the panel dedicated to nuclear energy, scheduled for June 18th at 4:30 PM. Under the leadership of Celso Cunha, President of the Brazilian Association for Nuclear Development (ABDAN), the panel will feature Isabelle Boemeke, a digital influencer in the field, and Nacid Samandari, a renowned nuclear energy specialist, along with Alexandre Honaiser, CEO of Framatome Brasil.

The debate promises to address a range of MIT initiatives aimed at Brazil's economic development through investment and the acceleration of new technologies and innovations. "Nuclear energy emerges as a crucial topic in this context, offering opportunities for diversifying the energy matrix, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and driving sustainable economic growth," says the president of ABDAN.
