The Minister of Mines and Energy, Fernando Coelho Filho, said that the success and magnitude of the offers of the 14th Round of ANP are a preparation for the companies that came to this event, as they signal the competition environment that they will find in the next rounds.

The minister, who accompanied the auction in Rio de Janeiro, participated in the group held after the event, along with the ANP's director general, Décio Oddone.

"The volume of bonuses has exceeded expectations, but it is the participation of traditional companies and new players that confirm the success of this auction," said the Agency's director, who was engaged in spreading the first round under his management.

The total bonus of R $ 3.842 billion, the highest in the history of the agency, with average premium of 1,556%, was obtained with the closing of only 15% (37) of the 287 blocks offered. The investments foreseen in the minimum exploratory program (PEM) amount to R $ 845 million.

Of the 17 winners, 10 are from Brazilian companies, according to the ANP classification. Of the blocks sold, 32% are from deep or ultra deep waters, accounting for almost the totality of the bonus.
